Bangkok – Taking a holiday to the capital city will be filled with fun, beauty and wonders.  An attraction there that should not be missed is the Grand Palace.  This huge complex was built in 1782 and was once the residence of the royal family.  You can wander the immense gardens and see one of the greatest treasures of Thailand, the Jade Buddha.  There are literally dozens of temples in Bangkok, called ‘wats’.  One of the best to visit is Wat Pho, with its tranquil gardens and the famous statue of the reclining Buddha.  You can enjoy shopping in outdoor markets and eating at one of the many cafes or fine dining restaurants.  Bangkok has some of the liveliest nightlife of any place you can visit.

Chiang Mai – Not as big as Bangkok, this city still has much to offer. Here, you can take an elephant ride out into the jungle and that alone is worth the trip!  One great location is the city Arts and Cultural Center which features exhibits of Thailand pre-history artifacts and art.  You can see a pair of pandas at the zoo.  The Tribal Museum features exhibits about the culture and lives of the tribal hill people of the north.  There are many Wats to visit, most with magnificent statues of Buddha.  The restaurants are wonderful as is the nightlife in this city as well.

Phuket – This tear-shaped island is a beach resort area that can’t be equaled.  But beautiful beaches and water sports is not all that is offered here.  You can take an elephant ride through the rubber tree groves, and visit Khao Phra Thaeo Wildlife Sanctuary and watch the gibbons.  You can take a trip from there to the Bang Pae waterfall and take a swim in the pool of water at the bottom.  If you are up for it, you can always attend a kickboxing fight.  Again, the food is amazing here and the nightlife is wild.
